Fecbook is coming with web based email client

Facebook is going to give it's user the @facebook.com e-mail services, that will challenge with Google gmail service, according to news published in techcrunch, this project that called "Titan project" will come to kill gmail, as new conflict between Google and Facebook over contacts grow bigger, according to Techcrunch:

Facebook has the world’s most popular photos product, the most popular events product, and soon will have a very popular local deals product as well.  It can tweak the design of its webmail client to display content from each of these in a seamless fashion (and don’t forget messages from games, or payments via Facebook Credits). And there’s also the social element: Facebook knows who your friends are and how closely you’re connected to them; it can probably do a pretty good job figuring out which personal emails you want to read most and prioritize them accordingly.

Google war with Facebook over members

Facebook user could import contact from other email service like Gmail, yahoo,...

Google block facebook access to gmail contact list, as news spread over net, many facebook user try gmail contact list to invite new friend or advertise facebook group, but it seems that Google banned facebook api programs to reach gmail,
For young people, this may only have a minimal impact. Only 11% of kids use email to communication with their friends regularly anyway, begging the question how many young people have extensive contacts in their Gmail accounts that they care to import into Facebook? Older people, though, will often have lots of contacts in Gmail (or Hotmail or Yahoo! Mail). The hope from Google’s perspective, obviously, would be that these folks would simply stick with Gmail for their communications instead of moving to Facebook-centric communications like most of the under-25 set has. But will it really work that way? (Zdet)
well, facebook is strong in providing communication tools for user in Comparison to gmail limited that only use in it's mail service or Buzz and maybe little in Google Reader, so if Google try to battle over Social network?
